Purpose
Honoring Robert Quiroga (San Antonio’s First World Champion Boxer) during Hispanic Heritage Month.

San Antonio’s first World Boxing Champion, native son, and San Antonio Sports Hall of Fame inductee, the late Robert Quiroga, whose tribute and motorcycle ride dubbed the RoQ and Ride Community Fest is a community oriented event.  Spearheaded by his brother Epi Quiroga and brought together by his family. Robert Quiroga’s untimely death shocked the public as well as his family and friends alike. Proceeds slated to go to various 501c3 non-profit organizations in our community.

Since Oct 2004 History Proceeds Contribution to NON-Profit in our community exceed $20,000.00

Previous 501c3 Non-Profit Benefactors include B.A.C.A (Bikers Against Child Abuse). –Neighborhood called Edgewood – Latinos in Action Sports Association - San Antonio Fatherhood Campaign, Loving Dozen, Angel Boxing Club.

October 22nd - 7:00pm to 11:00 pm Registration Event at J&D's Bar & Grill (2231 Quintana Road)
October 23rd Pre-Register at Renegade Classic (6850 Bandera Road)
October 24th - 1:00pm to 6:00pm Registration Event at Alamo City Ink Spot (1127 Old Hwy 90 West)
October 25th - 11:30 AM Biker Safety Address and Motorcycle Parade BEGINS
October 25th 12:30pm - 1:00 pm Raffle and Bike Show
October 25th 11:30 to 9:00 PM Live Music, Food Booths throughout the day

ROQ and RIDE Overview

Sunday October 25th
Kick off Motorcycle Parade through the city of San Antonio,  - Motorcycle Awareness and Motorcycle Safety Presentation by The Motorcycle School, FCL (Future community leaders) and ” I am” Pep Rally that promotes participation and responsibility for education and family values.

Music is to include bands with genres from Blue, Jazz, Latino and Tejano:  Del Castillo, Mad Wagon, The Next Day, OBG Band and many more.

KICK off MOTORCYCLE TRIBUTE RIDE will depart at 11:30am Sharp from Renegades Classics 6850 Bandera Rd. San Antonio, Tx  78238 ride through the northwest and Westside of San Antonio ending at THE BAR on Broadway, 2411 Broadway San Antonio 78215 (WHERE THE DAY ACTIVITIES WILL BEGIN.)  $5.00 per rider gate cost included.    Doors open at 11:30am.  $5.00 at the gate Kids 12 and under Free.
